Accomplished singer, songwriter, percussionist and front woman Stacy Robin has released a stunning debut solo effort, Some Kind Of Bird. Though bearing a reasonable resemblance to her work with the alterna-pop-folk band IF and goddess rock band Drawing Down the Moon, this album clearly establishes Stacy Robin as a solo artist apart from her current bands.

Indiana raised and educated with a masters in biochemistry, Stacy embraces any opportunity to make a difference She works in women's health research at Cedar-Sinai Medical Center and has performed at numerous benefits for Stop Cancer, Center Theatre Group (fundraisers at "Rent" and "Bring in da Noise /Bring in da Funk" at the Ahmanson Theater) Cedars-Sinai "Sound of Spirit" Breast Cancer Benefit, and Aids Project LA, "Stay in School" pep rallies. She developed the educational program “Acting & Singing in the Real World" for a high school arts Magnet program, and taught a performance workshop for grade school age kids at "Rock Camp.” Her work received the top award for Character and Integrity at the Call to Arts Summit in 2004. She has donated her music to worthy causes such as the non-profit organization Step-Up Women's Network and to the Cedars-Sinai breast cancer awareness and benefit campaign. Her songs have also been heard on TV and film including the movie “The Stranger Beside Me” starring Mark Harmon and the CBS drama “The Unit” as well as TV ads for Gateway Computers and Toyota and radio ads for Southwestern Bell and Wal-Mart.
