Often compared to indie rock bands such as Flaming Lips, Radiohead and Grandaddy, Superphones has been acclaimed as one of the best bands in the brazilian alternative scene. A proof of that is that they've been recently selected to support Placebo on their concert in their hometown, Porto Alegre, one of Brazil's most important urban and cultural centres.

Warren Ellis, creator of Transmetropolitan, has also shown his approval including one of their songs on his Radio Blog, Telepathine (www.telepathine.net).

SuperphonesAlways in search of the perfect melody, Superphones has just released their first full-length album. And the videoclip for its first single, 9th Floor, has won an award as Best Videoclip / Musical in one of Brazil's most important independent video festival, the Gramado CineVídeo.

Superphones is Marcus Vinicius (vocal), Fabian Umpierre and Cris Selbach (guitars), Pedro Belleza (drums), Mari Prates (bass) and Marcelo Guidoux Kalil (keyboards and synths).
