Born and raised In Harlem New York, by his single parented mother "Da'Quan Mayfield", also known as "ATM" was inspired by his Uncle, Bruce"Chip Banks" Lamar Mayfield, a member of the American Cream Team to whom the Wu-Tang Clan's Rae kwon (the chef) brought aboard. The inspiration from his uncle is what sparked him to write his 1st rhyme in the kitchen of his grandmothers house at the age of nine. Later that month the death of Da'Quan's uncle encoraged him to follow in the footsteps of an Artist. From writing ryhmes in a kitchen to recording in a studio Da'Quan feels the need to continue his uncle's dream as they become his own! With members of his family running their own independent labels (Mad.Is.On Records and 10 Time Records) he's under the influence to give the game his best shot! At the age of 15 "ATM" began ghostwriting for other artist, but still continued creating his own music. ATM has recently appeared on the "Kill Mixtapes vol.2 AND 3" presented by DJ Guttaman from Richmond Virgina and Phase 5. ATM is also working on his own Mixtape "Maturity" and a Team aura Mixtape "[A.O.E] The Mixtape".This young artist has shown his talents on radio stations and promotion websites such as maximumradio1.com, hiphopunlocked.com, and even team aura's own auratakeover.blogspot.com. Showing respect to the vocabulary and word play of The Notorious B.I.G and other rappers such as Jay-Z or Jadakiss, "to enhance his bars" Da'Quan listens and studies his influences. He may even decied to read the dictionary at times. He feels his music is a hustle and you have to know what your selling. ATM and his friends often shop for fun, talk to girls, write rhymes, or go to the studio on a normal day. So When he's not in school he's pretty much busy.
