The Dead Prophets are a true cult classic. Pure Texas psychedelic blues-rock at it's best! What separates this band from the pack is great songwriting, killer guitar work, and dynamic live performances. This DallasTX based band plays bigger venues in N.Texas, tours regionally, headlines festivals, and has songs on college/community radio stations across America. Lead guitarist Big Mike Clark may be one of the best guitarists to emerge since the height of the great 70s rock band movement. You can hear the influences, nuances, and technical prowess of David Gilmour, Peter Green, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton (during the Mayall and Cream era), and even legendary surf rocker Dick Dale, in every note he plays. Lead vocalist, acoustic guitarist, and chief songwriter Beth Isbell may be one of the most interesting front-persons since the late Jim Morrison. A&R pros have said Beth is a "strong guitarist" with "a great David Bowie-esque quality voice."
