The Merkins... the very essence of great music is stated through the grand name. Formed in late 2004 by the 3 amigos Max Erne, James Syme, and Matt Ederer, the Merkins started jamming and writing music even though they did not have a singer or rhythm guitarist. So, Shane Lawrence, one of their good friends joined in to create the Merkins. In mid-2005 the band began to get serious, creating many songs from the range of jazz to funk and heavy metal-punk. The Merkins are preparing to record many songs and to attempt recording and shows. A few punk songs have been written and are ready to be recorded, but many other aspects of music are ready to be incorporated into the grand sound of The Merkins. The Merkins are: Lead Guitarist Max Erne, Bassist Matt Ederer, Singer/Guitarist Shane Lawrence, and Drummer James Syme. Check out their Website and check back for updates.
