The Kaliphates is a Hip Hop Trio from The Tre-4(Winston Salem, NC). The Group was initially founder under the independent lable, Win City Records. Until 2006 The group consisting of Mike Loyd, Anthony Polzine, and Stacy Loyd had worked together on various projects together but essentially remained independent. That was then, this is now! Each of these three highly skilled artist brings a different element to the table while still contributing to a single goal, that is hands down to put the "middle of the map," (North Carolina)on the map. Above all this group is hard, real, good to listen to, but what so many rappers now lack, they are LYRICAL. Ant P brings crafty flows and witty methaphors, Young McFly(Stacy Loyd) Brings that hard muscle to the track you have to respect reminiscent of Styles P, Mike Loyd AKA DJ KALIPH holds down the engineering for the group and can more than hold his own on or behind the tracks. If you want to rep the middle of the map, The Kaliphates are without a doubt the single best trio in the Southeast putting it down.
