New Lead Singer = New Sound

Formed in mid 2003, North Carolina’s alternative rock band Third Theory stormed the local scene and immediately developed a strong following and reputation as a hard working and reliable alternative rock band. The independent release of their debut album, “Broken” in November of the same year quickly sold out and added to the fury, hype, and buzz. After sharing the stage with Reality Entertainment’s international agro metal band Slavemachine, they had this to say about Third Theory, “Man, these guys have serious talent and will go a long way.”

In September 2004, working closely with recording engineer Greg Scott, Third Theory completed their sophomore album aptly entitled “Mentally Blinded”, which was independently released in October 2004. They are aggressively promoting the album by playing numerous shows and have had several plays on WXQR 105.5 as well as an interview on “The Flipside” on October 31, 2004. Third Theory has shared the stage with He Is Legend a Solid State Records rock outfit as well as others.

Third Theory consists of five members, singer/songwriter Brandon Casebolt, guitarists Matt Kessel and Mike Scalf, bass guitarist Matt Casebolt and drummer Matt Scalf. Curtis Heath replaced Brandon as the lead singer in February 2005 and the sound has not been the same since. With each member bringing their own style and influence, they have created a unique sound. In February 2004, Third Theory was selected as “Top Artist-Rock” at the Miami stop of the New York International Film and Music Festival.

They are currently in the planning stages of a summer tour through the Southeast.
