Translucent Existence began in 2002 with a mutual friend introducing the guitarist (Robert) and bassist (Dave) to each other. They began to collaborate immediately and wrote songs that feature 7 string guitars and 5 string basses. Upon finding a drummer 2 years later (Buth DeFelice), the band continued to write and record even thought they didn't have a vocalist. Butch left the band in 2006 after the frustration of not having a vocalist finally took it's toll. In the summer of 2007, Translucent landed the drummer from "Colombian Neck tie" (Damon Nichols) and the band took off like a bat out of hell!! Finally in 2007 the paths of Translucent and Robb Steele (of Byfist) crossed paths and the rest will be history. The melodic melodies of Steeles vocals and the heavy melodies of Roberts and Dave's guitars, prove to catch the attention of music enthusiasts while the chorus lines will keep you singing well after you leave the show.
Translucent is currently in the studio recording and producing the material that has been written over the past couple years, look for them opening up for national acts and coming to a town near you.
