Waxed started his DJ career as a daytime radio jock at the University of Cape Town’s student radio station, UCT Radio. Campus life brought on club gigs and house parties which then blossomed in to a residency at Cape Town’s Dockside. Sets swing from Sweet and Soulful to down and Dirrty and are always entertaining. The One Night Stand project was launched in 2002 and has been keeping on since, with parties happening on a monthly basis in and around Cape Town. Completely underground, it’s been kept out of the clubs to ensure that the music played is not defined by anything other than the DJ. No Club Owners, No promoter, just class house music
