A 4-piece band from Finland, Your Friend George is founded on the fresh, intelligent songs of Emilia Kaasinen, the band's singer and songwriter. We All Deserve to be Honored, released in April 2006, plays with insightful and animated phrasing, painting Your Friend's world as a colourful, sensitive land, where human weaknesses are brought out of the shadows to be honestly and gently aired.
Light, diverse music and stories, told by a beautifully intimate female voice, deal with the changes contemporary times affect on the human heart and mind. The immediacy of the singer-songwriter sound is preserved in the band arrangement; styles from Rush rock to Cat Steven's ballads, from The Pretenders to Ani Di Franco piece together a portrait of the inner-life of a modern individual.
